What SN means
SN is a CIDB class of work meaning Waterproofing. Waterproofing of roofs, basements, decks and wet areas, including remedial waterproofing on existing buildings.
On a tender you will usually see the grade and class written together. A requirement of 6SN means Grade 6 in the Waterproofing class. You are graded separately in each class you register for, so you can hold a high grade in one class and a low grade in another.
What each SN grade lets you bid for
