What SG means
SG is a CIDB class of work meaning Glazing, curtain walls and shop fronts. Glazing and facade work: windows, curtain walling, shop fronts, glass partitioning and associated aluminium work.
On a tender you will usually see the grade and class written together. A requirement of 6SG means Grade 6 in the Glazing, curtain walls and shop fronts class. You are graded separately in each class you register for, so you can hold a high grade in one class and a low grade in another.
