What CE means
CE is a CIDB class of work meaning Civil Engineering. Civil infrastructure: roads, stormwater, water reticulation, sewer lines, bridges, earthworks and bulk services. Most municipal infrastructure tenders call for a CE grading.
On a tender you will usually see the grade and class written together. A requirement of 6CE means Grade 6 in the Civil Engineering class. You are graded separately in each class you register for, so you can hold a high grade in one class and a low grade in another.
What each CE grade lets you bid for
