What SL means
SL is a CIDB class of work meaning Structural steelwork. Fabrication and erection of structural steel: frames, trusses, portal frames, walkways and steel structures.
On a tender you will usually see the grade and class written together. A requirement of 6SL means Grade 6 in the Structural steelwork class. You are graded separately in each class you register for, so you can hold a high grade in one class and a low grade in another.
What each SL grade lets you bid for
