What ME means
ME is a CIDB class of work meaning Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical installations: pumps, HVAC and ventilation plant, lifts, boilers, and mechanical plant installation and maintenance.
On a tender you will usually see the grade and class written together. A requirement of 6ME means Grade 6 in the Mechanical Engineering class. You are graded separately in each class you register for, so you can hold a high grade in one class and a low grade in another.
