What SB means
SB is a CIDB class of work meaning Asphalt works (supply and lay). Supply and laying of asphalt surfacing: road surfacing, resurfacing, parking areas and related surfacing work.
On a tender you will usually see the grade and class written together. A requirement of 6SB means Grade 6 in the Asphalt works (supply and lay) class. You are graded separately in each class you register for, so you can hold a high grade in one class and a low grade in another.
