Comprehensive building repair and refurbishment works at the Rotating Machines Depot canteen, comprising floor tiling, ceiling repairs, roof works, wall preparation and painting, and structural repairs across multiple rooms and areas. The work includes: removal and installation of first-grade 600×600mm floor tiles (9m×27m in dining area, 4m×38m veranda); preparation, priming and painting of walls up to 27m×9m×4m in dining area and other rooms with specified paint (WAA8 and Duram products); repair and replacement of 120m gutters (bronze aluminium seamless), 7 aluminium down pipes (7m each), and facia board (120m); installation of granite counter top (5.1m×1m); repair of 15 damaged ceiling rhino boards; replacement of damaged ceiling panels (6m×5m); repair of 5 steel poles (110mm diameter, hot-dip galvanised per SANS 121); membrane sealing of roof regions and roof leak repairs (three locations); brickwork counter base (5.1m×0.9m M150 concrete blocks); high-pressure cleaning of external brick walls (10m×50m). The contract period does not exceed three months on a once-off basis. All prices exclude VAT.

Special conditions
Stage One - Eligibility with regards to attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting. Stage Two - Eligibility in terms of the Construction Industry Development Board- designation of 2GB or higher class of construction work, are eligible to have their tenders evaluated. Stage Four - Functionality: Functionality - Only those tenderers who obtain the minimum qualifying score for functionality will be evaluated further in terms of price and the applicable preference point system. The minimum qualifying for score for functionality is 70 points
