CIDB Grade 1 GB+ Mould Remediation – SARAO Johannesburg Building B

SARAO requires appointment of a CIDB Grade 1 GB or higher service provider to undertake comprehensive mould remediation at Building B, Johannesburg office (18A Gill Street, Observatory, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 2187). The building has a 900 m² floor area with 2,100 m² of affected surface area, presenting microbial contamination classified as Condition 2–3 per IICRC S520 Standard. Scope includes: (1) containment setup with critical barriers, negative air pressure, and cross-contamination prevention; (2) mould removal using approved techniques, HEPA vacuuming, damp wiping, structural/non-structural element treatment, HVAC system cleaning and ductwork remediation, and furniture remediation; (3) surface sanitation with antimicrobial solution; (4) waste handling and disposal with documentation (weighbridge tickets, receipts, certificates); (5) post-remediation verification by independent third party including visual inspection, air quality/microbial sampling, laboratory analysis, and formal clearance report and certificate confirming return to Condition 1 and freedom from visible mould and malodours; (6) final remediation report with recurrence prevention recommendations and handover documentation. Work must comply with OHS Act, include COIDA letter of good standing, R1 million public liability insurance, project organogram, waste transporter/landfill registration, and independent AIA/SAIOH-registered hygienist clearance. Lead time is 5 days from purchase order. Contract is a once-off assignment deemed complete upon work completion, report submission, and end-user approval. Payment within 30 days of valid invoice; no advance payments. Prices firm and inclusive of VAT, travel, deliveries.
