Professional Burial and Cremation Services for Pauper Persons – Mossel Bay Municipality

Mossel Bay Municipality invites tenders from professional service providers to arrange burial or cremation services for pauper or destitute persons. The contract runs for three (3) years from 1 July 2027 to 30 June 2030. The service is procured through a formal tender process with compulsory attendance at an information meeting. Bidders must submit complete tender documents in sealed envelopes to the tender box at Mossel Bay Town Hall, 101 Marsh Street, by 12:00 on Friday 13 November 2026. Tender validity is 120 days after the closing date. The contract will be awarded on either an 80/20 or 90/10 preference points system, with 20 or 10 points respectively allocated for specific goals: 50% based on B-BBEE scorecard and 50% on locality. All responsive bids will be publicly opened after the closing time. Late tenders, email, and fax submissions will not be accepted. The Municipality reserves the right to withdraw the invitation, reject any or all tenders, or accept partial tenders. Registration on the Central Supplier Database is mandatory; the Municipality may decline to award to unregistered bidders.
