SALGA seeks to appoint a panel of catering service providers for 24 months to supply hot lunches, light meals, and breakfast for meetings at Pretoria and Johannesburg offices; minimum 3 years' experience and valid Certificate of Acceptability required.

What you need to qualify for this tender
- • Valid Certificate of Acceptability (COA) issued by municipality for kitchen premises (failure to submit disqualifies bid immediately)
- • Kitchen location within 100 metres to 25 kilometres radius of Menlyn Headquarters, Pretoria
- • CV of team leader with relevant experience
- • Company profile
- • Three different contactable references on company letterheads where catering services were rendered
- • Completed guideline menu for pricing in Section 26 (failure to complete disqualifies bid)
- • Compliance with health and hygiene standards
- • Ability to deliver within 1 day for normal requests and 24 hours for emergency requests
- • Minimum two staff members present during food service and setup
- • Provision of stainless steel utensils, crockery, cutlery, table cloths, and bain-maries/hot trays
- • Sub-contracting prohibited - food must be prepared only in designated kitchen on COA
- • No food preparation on SALGA premises
- • Meals for special dietary requirements (vegetarian, halaal with certificate, kosher, etc.)
- • Unscheduled kitchen inspections permitted
- • All equipment defects and replacements at caterer's expense
