The service provider will deliver a comprehensive employee wellness and health programme for KZN Growth Fund Agency (KZNGFA), serving approximately 45–50 employees and their immediate family members (spouse, dependents) for 36 months from a date to be agreed during contract negotiation. Services include: 24-hour/365-day confidential telephone counselling and support for psychological and social wellbeing issues; consultation and training for managers and supervisors on stress management and work-environment enhancement; outreach and education about programme availability; problem identification and assessment; short-term intervention; referrals for diagnosis and treatment; case monitoring and follow-up; linkages with community resources; health benefit access for drug dependency, mental disorders, and emotional problems; and quarterly reports on service utilization and employee evaluation. Areas of assistance cover marital and family problems, domestic violence, substance abuse and addiction, medical and health issues (HIV/AIDS, cancer), workplace violence and trauma, workplace discrimination, personal debt, financial management, stress, legal matters, and general counselling. The provider must deliver monthly and quarterly reports with usage statistics, graphs, and dashboards; education and awareness materials; manager and employee training; and brief managers on handling difficult situations. Services must be available 24/7/365 via toll-free number with a clear referral network, confidentiality policy, and language policy. Pricing is a flat fee rate based on employee headcount. The provider must be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) and employ at least two qualified wellness practitioners (psychologists or counsellors).
