Carpentry: Installation of Exhibition Dry Walls for Iziko Museums Cape Town

Iziko Museums of Cape Town requires the supply, delivery, and complete installation of custom temporary exhibition dry walls at the Iziko South African National Gallery. The work includes structural framing, cladding construction, material transportation, and full installation of temporary drywall partitions with associated finishes and components. The supplier must take final site measurements upon appointment, verify all dimensions prior to fabrication, and ensure the completed installation is level, secure, and stable. Work includes seamless integration with adjacent existing walls, finishing and painting to specified exhibition colours, protection of existing museum finishes and flooring during installation, and implementation of dust protection measures. On-site installation is scheduled for 26–30 October 2026 during regulated working hours (08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday). The supplier must also cost for deinstallation in June 2027, including removal of all rubble and floor restoration if required. All packaging and waste must be removed on completion. Bidders must demonstrate proven experience with at least five comparable drywall projects completed within the past five years. The work is at Iziko South African Museum, 25 Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town. All work must comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Iziko's health, safety, security, and site regulations.
