What the work is

Read the full scope

The City of Cape Town seeks supply and delivery of TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) and associated public safety radio equipment. The contract period is 36 months from the commencement date. Tenderers may select one or more of five schedules (A, B, C, D, and E) as indicated in the Pricing Schedule C.4. The CCT intends to appoint two tenderers—the highest-ranked tenderer (winner) and an alternative tenderer—per schedule for work allocation. Once appointed and subject to operational requirements, suppliers will be invited to deliver goods on a "winner-takes-all" basis, with orders offered first to the highest-ranked tenderer; if refused, the work is offered to the next-ranked alternative tenderer. The tender document requires submission of technical proposals and pricing, with evaluation conducted in stages. Tenderers must comply with the CCT's Supply Chain Management Policy applicable on the date of bid advertisement. The contract includes requirements for performance security, insurance, occupational health and safety agreements, and various returnable documents and schedules detailing OEM/distributor accreditation, ICASA type certification, company experience, project numbers, and radio unit quantities supplied.
