What the work is

Read the full scope

The City of Cape Town is procuring the issuing of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for its municipal buildings. The contract period is 60 months from commencement. The tender intends to appoint three tenderers—the highest-ranked tenderer as the primary supplier and two alternative tenderers. Work will be allocated on a "winner-takes-all" basis, with orders offered first to the highest-ranked tenderer; if refused, work passes to the next alternative. The document does not specify the number of buildings, geographic coverage, frequency of certificate issuance, pricing structure, or detailed performance standards. Tenderers must submit professional experience of key personnel (Schedule F.13(a)) and a record of the number of EPC certificates previously issued (Schedule F.13(b)). A site visit/clarification meeting is strongly recommended but not compulsory, scheduled for 23 October 2026. Tender submissions close 10 November 2026 at 10:00 am. A non-refundable tender fee of R200 applies for hard copies. The contract is subject to the City of Cape Town's Supply Chain Management Policy applicable at advertisement date.
