Tree Felling, Pruning and Clearing – Umzimvubu Local Municipality

Tree felling, pruning and clearing service for Umzimvubu Local Municipality across three service areas: Mt Frere (20 locations, 48 trees total), Sophia (22 locations, 59 trees total), and Emaxesibeni (11 locations, 21 trees total). Total scope: 128 tree removal/pruning operations. Trees range up to 950mm diameter and are situated near electricity cables, buildings, sidewalks and driveways requiring careful protection of adjacent infrastructure. Contractor must provide all labour, supervision, equipment, machinery, tools and materials. All personnel must wear appropriate PPE and comply with OHS requirements. Contractor must hold valid public liability insurance covering property and structure damage. Contract duration is 4 months from acceptance. Scope includes: tree removal with ground support/rope protection; site cleanup with debris removal and disposal; protection of adjacent trees, shrubs and lawns; removal of all cut wood and branches from site. Contractor must submit COIDA proof and complete Municipality Contractor Induction before commencing work. Reference letters from previous tree felling/pruning projects must be provided, along with detailed methodology, risk management plan and insurance proof.
