Supply and Delivery of 60 Remote Data Loggers with Mobile Application – Johannesburg Water

Johannesburg Water requires the supply and delivery of 60 compact, battery-powered Remote Data Loggers (RDLs) with integrated mobile application for remote monitoring and data collection at field installations across its service area. Each logger must support minimum two analogue inputs (4-20 mA compatible, galvanically isolated with 24 VDC sensor loop power), one digital pulse input with debouncing, 4G LTE cellular communications, and configurable logging intervals from 1 minute to 24 hours. Devices must operate on internal batteries with minimum 2-year life (5-minute logging intervals, 2 daily transmissions) and support external 12 VDC or solar power with automatic battery fallback. Storage must retain minimum 12 months of data at 15-minute intervals regardless of cellular connectivity. Enclosures require IP68 rating, 1-metre submersion capability for 120 hours, UV/corrosion resistance, and operation from -20°C to +80°C. The solution must support MQTT/UDP/IP, SCADA integration, Bluetooth configuration, secure web access, and automated reporting (flow, pressure, level, daily totals, water balance). Supply includes 3 years platform access, all communications costs, and firmware updates with no recurring licence fees. Bidders must provide complete technical datasheets, demonstrate local South African representation with Gauteng technical support capability, supply 24-month warranty, and provide comprehensive training enabling Johannesburg Water personnel to independently deploy, configure, operate and maintain equipment without ongoing supplier reliance.
