About this tender
Northern Cape Department of Health seeks a 24/7 aeromedical (air ambulance) service provider with two twin-turbine pressurized aircraft, valid SACAA Class III Type G7 licenses, Part 135/138 compliance, 10+ years air ambulance experience, qualified flight and medical crews, and full operational base in Kimberley.

What you need to qualify for this tender
- • Two twin-turbine fully pressurized aircraft
- • One aircraft configured as air ambulance with stretcher unit
- • One aircraft configured for outreach (5+ passengers)
- • Ability to land on unpaved strips day/night
- • Substitute aircraft available during maintenance
- • Minimum 6 pilots: at least 3 captains with 1000+ total hours and 500+ hours on type
- • At least 4 pilots: 2 captains with 1000+ total hours and 500+ hours on type
- • Minimum 3 medical officers with ITLS/ACLS/PALS/Aviation Health Course
- • Minimum 3 secondary crew (ECT) with 2+ years experience and ITLS/ACLS/PALS/Aviation Health Course
- • Established operational base in Kimberley with office, medical equipment room, drug storage, hangar
- • Proof of internal audit system (CAA-prescribed)
- • Flight following via satellite tracking
- • Specified medical equipment (ECG/DEFIB, ventilator, infusion pumps, suction, incubator, autoclave, etc.)
- • All medical equipment aviation-certified
- • Manual of Procedures compliant with Part 138
- • Proof of adequate insurance and indemnity cover
- • CVs of all key post holders
- • Documented proficiency in night operations in Namaqua/Karoo areas
- • Crew rostering proof (fatigue management, leave, rest compliance)
