About this tender
Eskom seeks qualified consultants and PLEXOS® implementation partners to provide information on capability, methodology and pricing for tuning their integrated energy model for market forecasting, trading and valuation studies in preparation for South Africa's competitive electricity market.
Requirements to bid
What you need to qualify for this tender
- • Minimum 5 years' experience tuning/deploying PLEXOS at ISO, TSO, utility or large trading houses
- • At least 3 referenced projects covering short-term, medium-term and long-term horizons
- • Demonstrated expertise in competitive electricity multi-markets (day-ahead, intraday, balancing, ancillary/reserves)
- • Understanding of SAWEM design and NERSA regulatory context
- • Proven delivery across all six mandatory capabilities: SMP forecasting, multi-market simulation, PPA/hedge valuation, demand response & flexibility, curtailment & congestion, trading & portfolio risk
- • Role-based training curriculum for administrators, modellers, analysts and traders/risk users
- • South African presence or partnership with B-BBEE credentials
- • Professional indemnity insurance
- • POPIA compliance and data security measures
