The appointed service provider must arrange complete quarantine and import logistics for one mandrill arriving from Australia. Scope includes: (1) provision of an approved 40-day quarantine facility that is insect-proof/vector-proof and suitable for non-human primates, complying with State Veterinarian and Zoo Veterinary Department requirements; (2) all local veterinary services including examinations, sampling, testing, treatments and procedures as required by veterinary authorities; (3) State Veterinary Services costs including inspections, placement into quarantine, and release upon completion; (4) collection from O.R. Tambo International Airport, secure transportation to the quarantine facility, and all handling costs; and (5) provision of appropriate feed, fresh water, daily husbandry, cleaning, waste removal, enrichment and all consumables for the full 40-day quarantine period. All veterinary-related and transport costs must be included in the quotation. The RFQ closing date is 14 October 2026 at 12:00pm. Quotations must be submitted in sealed envelopes to JCPZ House, 40 De Korte Street, Braamfontein.
