Supply, Delivery and Offloading of Insulated Two-Door Trailer – City of Tshwane

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality requires the once-off supply, delivery and offloading of a single new, unused insulated fully-enclosed two-door cargo/luggage trailer for use by the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Band Unit and other authorised departmental functions. The trailer will transport musical instruments (brass, woodwind, percussion), electronic equipment, uniforms, sound equipment, music stands and associated accessories between venues for official municipal functions, parades, memorial services, civic events and community outreach programmes. Minimum technical specifications include: external dimensions minimum 3 m length × 1.8–2 m width × 2.7 m height; internal dimensions minimum 2.8 m length × 1.6 m width × 2.7 m height; new and unused condition; fully enclosed composite, aluminium or equivalent durable construction; galvanized steel or corrosion-resistant chassis; minimum 50 mm insulation on walls and roof; single-axle with minimum 14-inch wheels plus one spare wheel; heavy-duty jockey wheel; two safety chains; lockable side and rear access doors with waterproof rubber seals and secure locking mechanisms; durable non-slip flooring; internal tie-down anchors and restraint points; LED cargo-compartment lighting; roadworthy brake/indicator/tail/number-plate lights; reflectors; wheel chocks; and internal protective lining. Deliverables include full supply and safe offloading at the Municipality's designated location; inspection and commissioning; rectification of defects at no additional cost; compliance with the National Road Traffic Act, NRTA regulations, NRCS specifications (VC 8026), SANS standards and all applicable SA legislation; provision of statutory documentation (NRCS Letter of Authority, manufacturer's certificate, VIN details, weighbridge certificate, NATIS/eNaTIS documentation); assistance with registration and licensing; a minimum 12-month warranty from acceptance; and after-sales support including OEM/dealer confirmation, replacement parts availability and technical manuals.
