The municipality requires safe collection of chemical waste from the Gert Sibande District Municipality Water Quality Laboratory as and when required over a 36-month period. Services include safe and legal transportation of chemical waste to authorised hazardous chemical waste treatment facilities, and safe and legal treatment of chemical waste at legally authorized hazardous waste treatment facilities. Upon completion of each disposal event, the service provider must issue a compliance Chemical Waste Disposal Certificate to the GSDM Water Quality Laboratory. This is a panel appointment on call-off basis; quantities and frequency of waste disposal events are not specified in the document but will be determined by the municipality's operational requirements. Tenders will be subjected to functionality evaluation.
