Panel of Plant Hire Service Providers (3 Years) — Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality

The municipality seeks to appoint a panel of not more than 20 service providers to supply construction plant and equipment on hire for a 3-year period on an as-and-when-required basis. Equipment will be used for clearing illegal dumping sites at Koster, Swartruggens, Derby, and Mazista; emergency digging for electricity cables, roads, and graveyards; and general maintenance works by the Community Services Department. The scope includes 46 line items spanning tipper trucks (6m³ and 10m³), water bowsers (16kl, 18kl, 20kl), road graders (2500mm and 3000mm widths), track excavators, bulldozers, compactors, concrete mixers, jackhammers, bitumen sprayers, chainsaw equipment, septic cleaning trucks, mobile toilets, and a flat low-bed truck loader (40-ton capacity). All equipment must be of the highest quality, available for lease for the full 3-year duration, and supplied with valid ownership certificates or proof of ownership. Equipment model year must not predate 2000. Pricing is submitted as hourly wet rates (fuel, operator, VAT included) for most items, and kilometres rate for the flat low-bed truck. Annual 10% escalation applies. The successful bidder(s) must maintain contact with the Transportation Engineering Unit, deliver equipment within 24 hours of order confirmation, and comply with specifications exactly as tendered. Wrong equipment delivery will terminate hire immediately without transport payment.
