About this tender
Electoral Commission seeks qualified braille printing service providers to manufacture and deliver 68,000 Universal Ballot Templates (cardboard, two sizes) for the 2026 Local Government Elections, with strict specifications for window cut-outs, braille markings, and packaging.

What you need to qualify for this tender
- • Must be registered and approved on Electoral Commission eProcurement system (votaquotes.elections.org.za)
- • Established operator in braille printing industry
- • Direct control over product design and production process
- • Completion and submission of mandatory checklist (Section 25) — failure results in disqualification
- • Written proposal required — must be submitted by closing date, late submissions disqualified
- • Due diligence audit at service provider's premises and manufacturing facility before contract award
- • Service Level Agreement (SLA) required before contract award
- • Proofs must be submitted for Electoral Commission approval before bulk production commences
- • Sub-contracting not preferred but may be considered if bidder demonstrates capacity, capability and proven experience for projects of this magnitude; requires formal written contract
- • All prices must include VAT
- • All prices must include packaging and delivery costs
- • Delivery by 21 October 2026 (no late deliveries accepted)
- • Partial deliveries not accepted unless pre-approved
- • Compliance with detailed technical specifications (material, dimensions, window cut-outs, braille markings, printing requirements, colour, packaging, pallet specifications)
